It was a normal night, as normal as a night can be when you were just expelled from school for starting a fight. Iād had a good reason, with that girl calling my mom all sorts of names. Of course I got up from my seat in Math class, whipped around, and slapped her across the face. I still do think expulsion was too much. So, I was just sitting outside our trailer, watching the sky when I saw it. The comet scientists have been talking about. It was called the Ghost Comet, only fully visible for one minute, at 11:11, on 11/11/22, before tilting onto its side, which is covered with pyronite, an impossibly dark green mineral unable to be seen in the night sky. I was never a particularly superstitious person, but seeing the green streak of the comet against the black sky speckled with stars, I closed my eyes and made a wish.
